Kenneth “Buzzy” Rabenold, 66, of Slatington, died Dec. 30, 2021, in St. Luke’s Hospital, Carbon County campus.
The husband of Patricia (Neff) Rabenold, the couple was married 36 years on Sept. 21, 2021.
Born June 10, 1955, in Allentown, he was the son of the late Kenneth and Audrey (Taylor) Rabenold.
He owned and operated Buzzy’s Autobody, Slatington, for 42 years, and served on Slatington Borough Council from 2002-07.
An avid race car driver, he raced at Dorney Park, Nazareth and Grandview speedways.
Passing his love of racing down to his son, Kory, who started racing at age 5, he worked with Kory to get him to the ARCA Series.
His love for cars continued with building hot rods.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son Kory and his wife, Amanda, of Lehighton; sisters Sharon Stevens (Mike) of California, and Donna Kanusky (Andy) of Hellertown; brothers Kevin Rabenold (Glenda) of West Virgina, and Art Rabenold (Linda) of Allentown; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by brother, Kerry Rabenold.
His funeral service will be 11 a.m. Jan. 8 in Heintzelman Funeral Home, 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville.
Family and friends may pay their respects 8:30-10:45 a.m. in the funeral home on Saturday.
Interment will follow the service at Fairview Cemetery, Slatington.
