Emma S. Kratzer, 97, of Allentown and formerly of Coplay, died on December 24, 2021, at Phoebe Allentown Health Care Center, Allentown. Born in Catasauqua, she was a daughter of the late Ignatius Suppan and the late Catherine (Jollie) Suppan. She was the wife of the late Raymond Kratzer.
She retired from Lehigh Valley Hospital Central Services in 1989 after 20 years in the collections department. During World War II, she was a chief clerk for the Office of Price Administration, Catasauqua.
She was a member of St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church, Coplay, and of the Altar and Rosary Society. She was a past secretary and a past president of the American Women’s Association, the Whitehall AARP Chapter #3115, and the Coplay Saengerbund Ladies Auxiliary. She was a former member of club 55 Bowling League, Allentown.
She is survived by a son, Gary R. and his wife Patricia Cannon-Kratzer of Emmaus; a daughter, Debra A. Kratzer-Comer and her husband of Martin J. of Bethlehem; four grandsons, Jason and his wife Tarrin, Kyle and fiancé Elise, Wade and his wife Kat and Jarret; and two great-grandchildren; Dillon and Addison.
She was predeceased by a brother, Gerald Suppan; and a sister, Catherine Harmonisky.
