Dorothea E. Lacko, 91, from Schnecksville, died on Dec. 31, 2021, in Cedarbrook, Fountain Hill Annex.

She was the wife of the late Anthony Lacko.

Born Dec. 27, 1930, in East Penn Township, Carbon County, she was the daughter of the late Earl C. and Mary M. (Ebbert) Peters.

A receptionist at Carbon Lehigh Intermediate Unit 21, Schnecksville for 22 years, she retired in 2000.

She was a member of Union United Church of Christ, Neffs.

Her survivors include a son, Eric A. Lacko of Schnecksville and his companion, Marcy L. Mazza, of Palmer Township; grandson Matthew R. Lacko and his wife, Amanda, of Orefield; great-grandchildren Kallie, Quinn and Cora; and niece Anita A. Mateyak of Orefield.

She was predeceased by a son, Michael A. Lacko, and a sister, Arvilla F. Mateyak.

Her funeral service will be 11 a.m. Jan. 7 in Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville, with the Rev. Kris P. Snyder-Samuelson officiating.

Family and friends may pay their respects 10-11 a.m. Friday in the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Union Church Cemetery, Neffs. Expressions of sympathy may be made at heintzelmancares.com.
