Blanche Marie Hodge, 101, of Whitehall, died Dec. 14, 2021, at Phoebe Home, Allentown. She was the wife of the late John E. Hodge.
Born in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late William and Sophia (Einig) Haas.
Earlier in life, she was a grinder, inspecting and finishing brass sprinklers for many years at Bridesburg Foundry, Fullerton.
She was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Fullerton, where she was on the Altar Guild, was a member of the prayer chain and performed with the Christian Clown Ministry.
She was a 40-year volunteer with Meals on Wheels and was among some of the original volunteers.
She is survived by a son, Harry and his wife Saretta of Schnecksville; a daughter, Kathleen Witt and her husband Leonard of Catasauqua; and a granddaughter, Hillary Puentes and her husband Nelson and their children Leonardo and Lucio.
She was predeceased by a sister, Dorothy Vogel; and a brother, Harry Haas.
