You can find the popular “Gingerbread Hotel” just left of the steps to “1741 on the Terrace” special event room. The stunning replica has fun elves on the top that are delighted to welcome you.
You'll need to climb the curved stairs or use the elevator to the second mezzanine so you can find this beautiful tree adorned with gold balls and beads. Have your camera ready for a selfie with this one on the “Christmas at Hotel Bethlehem” self-guided tour.
The nativity nestled in a manger at Hotel Bethlehem, located on 437 Main St., is something to see. Its gentle coloring and beautiful craftsmanship remind all who view it of the meaning of Christmas. Find your way to the first mezzanine for the best look.
The street view is special and invites you into all the Christmas splendor that will get you into the spirit of the holiday season. Inside the Hotel Bethlehem you will find 35,000 Christmas lights, 36 wreaths and six seven-foot toy soldiers, two life size Nutcrackers and a gingerbread house modeled after the hotel.
There is plenty to see and buy in the “Christmas Shoppe” and “Ladies Boutique” on the lower level. There are delightful selections on every turn. More photos on A16.
Walk up the short steps inside Hotel Bethlehem to “1741 on the Terrace” to see this stunning room that is surrounded by windows overlooking the Moravian section of downtown Bethlehem. Here you will find gorgeous wreaths, flying swans and much more to please they eye, including the architecture of this historic hotel built in 1922.
Waiting for a bride to walk down the aisle in the “Mural Ballroom” located just off the lobby sitting room and near the grand piano is a towering gold adorned tree as the backdrop for the ceremony. You will also find wreaths to match below the 1936 murals that depict the founding of Bethlehem.
