Karen A. “Cookie” Mengel, 74, of Germansville, died Dec. 17, 2021, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

The wife of Richard E. Mengel, the couple would have celebrated 52 years of marriage on Dec. 20.

Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Russell and Roberta (Holveck) Stoudt.

A 1965 graduate of Northwestern High School, she was a supervisor for Dun and Bradstreet Inc., Bethlehem.

She later worked for the former Hamm’s Drive Inn, New Tripoli.

She was a member of the Lutheran congregation of Heidelberg Union Church, Heidelberg Township.

A very loving and supportive mother and Nanny, she was her grandchildren’s biggest fan.

In addition to her loving husband, her survivors include her son Jason T. (Tina) Mengel; daughter Jennifer L. (Brian) Hebelka, all of Germansville; grandchildren Brady and Brandon Mengel, and Haley and Derek Hebelka; sister Vicki Trexler of New Tripoli; brothers Terry Stoudt of Orefield, Timm (Nancy) Stoudt of Allentown, and Scott Stoudt of Columbia, S.C.

She was predeceased by a brother, Michael Stoudt.
