Roughies Report: Colby Rau inducted into honor society
Congratulations to Colby Rau, a Catasauqua High School student in the pre-engineering and engineering technology program at Lehigh Career & Technical Institute on his induction into the school’s National Technical Honor Society. Colby, along with seven other LCTI students, were inducted during a ceremony Dec. 9 at the school’s Schnecksville campus.
Inductees’ family members, along with LCTI staff, joint operating committee members and Lehigh County school district staff were all in attendance for this special event.
Membership in the NTHS is highly competitive. Students must maintain a grade average of 90 percent or better to be considered for membership.

Each month, teachers at LCTI recognize students for outstanding effort, improvement, achievement or leadership in their career and technical education programs and academic center classes.
Congratulations to the following CHS students for being selected for the month of November: Chantalle Barbosa, criminal justice, and Katelyn Gable, engineering drafting and design.

CHS students will be dismissed early Dec. 23 in preparation for the Christmas holiday.
Schools will be closed Dec. 24-Jan. 2, 2022.

Were you unable to attend the LCTI’s virtual open house for high school students last month? If so, most of the sessions were recorded, so you can watch them anytime to learn about LCTI’s programs. The event featured live Zoom sessions led by instructors, who were joined by prospective students and their parents.
