Rose D. Grabarits

Rose D. Grabarits, 86, of Treichlers, died Dec. 3, 2021, at home. She was the wife of Vincent J. Grabarits for 67 years.

Born in Northampton, she was a daughter of the late John and Johanna (Wagner) Dischinat. She was, due to her parents’ death, adopted by her grandparents and raised on the Dischinat farm with her aunts and uncles.

She was a waitress throughout her life at various locations, including the Allen House and the Holiday Inn. She was an utility operator at Western Electric for 28 years.

She was a member of the Pioneers retirement group.

She was a member of Queenship of Mary Church, Northampton.

She was a 20-year volunteer with Musikfest.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by three children, Carol Ann Thomason and her husband Keith, Michael and his wife Marianne and Janet Sforza and her husband Michael; two granddaughters, Kristi and Sabrina; two stepgrandchildren, Sarah and Chelsey; five stepgreat-grandchildren, Khale, Connor, Kayden, Breanne and Riley; a sister, JoAnn Kern and her husband Robert; and two aunts, Rose Zastko and Angela Paukovits.

She was predeceased by triplet grandchildren, Jonathan, Joshua and Lindsay.
