John F. Schreiner Jr., 75, of Coplay, died Dec. 12, 2021, in the Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg. He was the husband of Faye (Werley) Schreiner for 55 years.

Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late John F. and Rose (Mulasits) Schreiner Sr.

He honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era, stationed in Kitzingen, Germany.

He was owner of Traffic Consultants since 1975.

He was appointed to the Coplay Whitehall Sewer Authority in 1994 and currently served as chairman. A member for more than 50 years, he was the second vice chair of the Lehigh County Democratic Committee. He helped start the Coplay Sports Christmas parade, was co-chair of Coplay Community Days for the last 10 years and was a member of Whitehall-Coplay School Board for eight years.

He was a fourth degree Knights of Columbus for more than 50 years with the Lehigh Valley General Assembly. He was an avid sportsman, holding membership in several local clubs.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, John with wife Michelle of Fogelsville and Mark and his wife Jennifer of Allentown; five grandchildren, Tyler, Trevor, Casey, Madison and Emily; and a sister, Barb Krencz with husband Chuck.
