PRESS PHOTO BY TIM SINGLES Fire crews from Western Salisbury Volunteer Fire Department respond to a reported fuel spill at Cedar Crest Boulevard and the eastbound on-ramp to Interstate 78 from Cedar Crest Boulevard around 12:30 p.m. Dec. 16. Upon arrival, the crews found a fuel delivery truck stuck on the median leaking fuel from the trucks saddle tank. Firefighters were also assisted by fire police from Western and Eastern Salisbury fire departments. Firefighters used spill containment tools and portable ponds to contain the fuel leaking from the ruptured fuel tank on the truck. The main tank on the truck was not damaged. The on-ramp was closed for several hours so crews could lift the fuel truck of the median. No injuries were reported.
