The holiday season is upon us and the schools in the township are ready.

Salisbury Elementary School will hold holiday celebration parties Dec. 22 with the long winter’s night theme. Dec. 23 will be holiday or winter sweater day as well as an early dismissal 1:15 p.m.

Salisbury Middle School and Salisbury High School will also have early dismissals 12:15 p.m. Dec. 23. All Salisbury Township schools will be closed for winter break Dec. 24 through Jan. 2, 2022. School will resume for all students Jan. 3, 2022.

SES will hold the next PTO meeting 7 p.m. Jan. 3, 2022.

Allentown Public Library is holding a Teen Take Out event for students 12 and up for the month of December. Pick up a hot cocoa kit at the children’s desk, make your cup of cocoa with provided materials and snap a picture to send them.

The Allentown Public Library is also starting an adult reading challenge Jan. 3, 2022. Read books, attend events and participate in missions and games to earn points to be entered for prizes. Visit http://www.allentownpl.org/adult-winter-reading-challenge for more information and to register.
