Newsweek recognizes hospital
For the second year in a row, Eastern Pennsylvania Endoscopy Center was recognized by Newsweek as one of America’s Best Ambulatory Surgery Centers for 2022.
Hospitals included on this list are graded on quality of care, performance data and peer recommendations relative to in-state competition. The list was compiled by Newsweek and its partner research firm Statista. LVHN is in the top 400 ambulatory surgical centers in 25 states with the most ambulatory facilities, according to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).
EPEC and LVHN formed a joint venture to deliver high-quality care from a state-of-the art endoscopy center in Allentown. EPEC specializes in endoscopic examination and treatment of upper and lower gastrointestinal tract illnesses.
Physicians who perform the procedures work for Eastern Pennsylvania Gastroenterology and Liver Specialists and have a long-standing, exclusive clinical alignment with LVHN. The practice is comprised of 22 board-certified gastroenterologists. Procedures performed at EPEC include upper endoscopy, screening colonoscopy and diagnostic colonoscopy.
