Sandra L. (DeMilio) Almgren, 81, of Allentown, died March 2, 2021, in St. Luke’s Hospital, Allentown. She was the wife of the late William R. Almgren. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Dominic D. and Mildred V. (Micco) DeMilio of Allentown.
She worked in various administrative positions for GAC and Salisbury Township, as well as operated and maintained rental properties. She was a supervisor at the H&R Block office in Whitehall, where she was an instructor and tax preparer. She had her own real estate and notary business in Salisbury Township and was very active in the Salisbury Township PTA, recreation board programs and in the community.
In her spare time she enjoyed bowling with the Sunday Nighters, horseback riding and frequented the Pine Dorosa and Boots and Saddle riding clubs.
She was passionate about her religion – a member of First Church of Christ Scientist, Allentown, AMORC and Infinite Way.
She is survived by daughters, Valerie M. and her husband, Marc A. Gagliardi and Sherri A. and her husband, David J. Schuler, both of Bethlehem and grandchildren: Matthew, Cole, Katie, Mason and Antonio. She was predeceased by a son, Robb W., a sister, Dolores J. Crush, a brother, Robert A. DeMilio.
A graveside service will be held 11:30 a.m. Dec. 17 in Morgenland Eastern Salisbury Cemetery, 1707 Church Road, Allentown. Arrangements were made by the J.S. Burkholder Funeral Home, Allentown.
