Raymond J. “Ray” Uzzo, 79, of Emmaus, died Dec. 3, 2021, at Lehigh Valley Hospital. He was the husband of Roseann (Reilly) Uzzo for 37-1/2 years. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he was the son of the late Joseph and Dorothy (Doyle) Uzzo.
He proudly served in the U.S. Army for six years.
He worked at the Maxwell House Coffee Plant in Hoboken. He relocated to Naranja Lakes, Fla., in the late 1970s and worked for a division of ConAgra Foods. He later worked in the food and beverage industry at The Grain House in New Brunswick and The Olde Mill Inn in Basking Ridge. In 2002 he and his wife became residents of Emmaus. He semi-retired in 2004 and then worked for many years at Parma Pizza, Village West, Allentown.
He is survived by his wife; sons, Raymond and his wife, Michele, of Colonia, N.J., Randy, of Laurence Harbor, N.J.; grandchildren, Brian, Alexis and Randy; a brother, Thomas and his wife, Ann, of Sarasota, Fla; sisters, DorAnn and her husband, John Kessler, of Massapequa, N.Y., Joann and her husband, John Russo, of Graveland, Fla.; brothers-in-law, James Reilly and Stephen Reilly, of Colonia, N.J.; many nieces, nephews and cousins and of course, Meatball, Guaio and Micha. He was predeceased by brothers, Kenneth and Robert.
