Barry L. Garner, 80, of Wescosville, died Dec. 6, 2021, at Cornerstone Living, New Tripoli. He was the husband of Darlene J. (Schneck) Garner for 58 years. Born in Reading, he was the son of the late John R. and Helen M. (Wentzel) Garner.

After graduating from Allentown High School, he received his bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering from Penn State University in 1963.

He enlisted in the Marines and became a Vietnam veteran. He earned the rank of Captain and was a member of the Marine Corps League.

He was employed at PPL for 36 years, retiring in 2003 in its nuclear department.

He was of the Lutheran faith.

He is survived by his wife; a son, David J. and his wife, Kathy L., of Alburtis; a daughter, Dana G. and her husband, Gene H. Wolfgang, of Orefield; a sister, Elaine Thompson, of Parhump, Nev.; grandchildren, Lacey M., Shelby Lee McNabb, Brett A. Ramsberger, Jordan Lee Kramer; 10 great-grandchildren.
