AMERICAN RED CROSS PA RIVERS CHAPTER, Allentown needs team members to help save lives and prevent injury using the Prepare with Pedro program. The 30-45-minute presentation provides emergency preparedness education to youth in grades K-2 (ages 4-7) in school classrooms and other settings. CHRISTKINDLMARKT, SteelStacks in Southside Bethlehem, needs a lot of volunteers for a variety of tasks at its newly expanded holiday festival. MILLER-KEYSTONE BLOOD CENTER, Allentown needs volunteers at the Cedar Crest Donor Center to give out snacks with a smile while monitoring donors to be sure they are doing well after donating. The two shifts available are from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturdays, or from 7:30-11 a.m. Mondays. This does require a 1.5-hour orientation and (free) PA state clearances. No community service hours. NORTHEAST COMMUNITY CENTER, Bethlehem is seeking Spanish speaking tutors to assist students during its After-School Homework Club 3 to 5 p.m. on Monday through Thursday. Students range in age from 6 to 13 years old. All volunteers must complete background checks, wear face masks and be vaccinated for COVID-19. SHARECARE FAITH IN ACTION, Bethlehem needs many volunteers to help with taking non-Covid-19 clients to their vital appointments. All volunteers will have to attend online orientation, provide criminal background check and proof of insurance. KN95 facemasks and sanitizer wipes provided to volunteers.
