Charter Arts students heat up ‘Dance Soup!’

Lehigh Valley Charter HS for the Arts dance students warmed up the stage with “Dance Soup,” a program of student-choreographed works Nov. 19 and 20. This is the first time, after a year of virtual concerts, that in-person performances could be held in the school’s theater. A recorded performance was available online for Nov. 21.

Directed by Jennifer Dite Weaver, the young dancers were featured in nearly 30 pieces of work from a variety of dance genres, including modern, jazz, hip-hop and Afro-contemporary dance.

More than 70 dancers performed solo and ensemble numbers at the annual show.
