The Lehigh Valley Press weekly newspapers have long accepted and published photos and articles submitted by our readers.
From teachers to volunteer firefighters to moms and dads to business owners and church leaders, our supporters - members of the local community - are proud of their successes, their families and the work and volunteering they do.
On Dec. 5, I covered the tree-lighting ceremony in Ontelaunee Park, Lynn Township.
Even on just that one evening, community members offered their help and support to make sure photos and information that would be published in today’s Northwestern Press would be the best I could do.
They also expressed thanks for covering activities and township meetings in the Northwestern Lehigh community that might not otherwise be publicized.
Everyone in the community who contributes to the success of the weekly papers is greatly appreciated.
Our editors, editorial assistants and freelance, independent contractors cannot be everywhere. And, as is happening across the country, workers are in short supply and not replying to help-wanted pleas.
For that, we apologize.
If you have local news and/or photos for one of the weekly papers, please email one of the editors: Debbie Galbraith, East Penn Press/Salisbury Press, dgalbraith@tnonline.com; Deb Palmieri, Parkland Press/Northwestern Press, dpalmieri@tnonline.com; Kelly Lutterschmidt, Whitehall-Coplay Press/Northampton Press/Catasauqua Press, klutterschmidt@tnonline.com; and George Taylor, Bethlehem Press, gtaylor@tnonline.com.
More importantly, if you or someone you know likes to write and/or take photos and is looking for paid work as a freelance independent contractor, please contact the editor in your area.
Wishing a successful 2022 for all our readers and advertisers.
