Wentling makes EPC first team
Freedom enjoyed a stellar football campaign this season and the Pates got some accolades with the announcement of the EPC South football all-stars recently.
Senior running back Deante Crawford was named the EPC South offensive MVP after rushing for 1,204 yards and 19 touchdowns in the regular season. He was one of 10 Patriots that were named all-stars, six of which were first-team members.
Central Catholic’s Lavon Johnson was named the EPC South defensive MVP after registering 73 tackles, eight sacks and three forced fumbles.
Whitehall’s Quinn Wentling made the first team offense in the Offensive Athlete category. He was the lone Zeph to make the first team offensive team with Damonte Foreman making it as a first team linebacker and Bryce Bashore was a first team safety on the defensive side of the ball.
Bashore made the second team as a wide receiver. Wentling was named as a third team cornerback.
