Peter and Will Anderson, “A Jazzy Holiday,” 7:30 p.m. Dec. 10, “Jazz OnStage,” Main Stage, Miller Symphony Hall, 23 N. Sixth St., Allentown. Doors open at 6:45 p.m. Holiday music over the centuries is celebrated with a jazz sextet performance interwoven with historical narrative. Songs will include “Jingle Bells,” “Oh Tannenbaum,” “Greensleeves,” “Hark the Angels Sing,” “Silent Night,” “Deck the Halls,” “Auld Lang Syne,” “Jolly Old St. Nicholas” and “Hanukkah, Oh Hanukkah.” The identical twin Andersons, born and raised in Washington D.C., moved to New York City to attend The Juilliard School. The group is: Peter and Will Anderson, saxophone, clarinet, flute; Joseph Boga, trumpet; Dalton Ridenhour, piano; Madison Rast, acoustic bass; Chuck Redd, drums, vibraphone. Mary Fahl, “Winter Songs and Carols,” 8 p.m. Dec. 10, Mauch Chunk Opera House, 14 W. Broadway, Jim Thorpe. Doors open at 7 p.m. Mary Fahl, former lead singer of the chamber-pop group, October Project, and her band, led by producer and multi-instrumentalist Mark Doyle, perform songs from her album, “Winter Songs and Carols,” and Christmas standards, including “I’ll Be Home For Christmas,” “In the Bleak Midwinter” and “O Holy Night,” along with songs written by Sandy Denny, Leonard Cohen and Joni Mitchell that evoke the spirit of the season. The Stony Point, N.Y., native and Easton resident received an Independent Music Award for best holiday song of the year in 2020 for her version of “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.” “Mary Fahl Live At The Mauch Chunk Opera House,” a double album, was recorded in 2013 and released in 2014. The Amish Outlaws, 7:30 p.m. Dec. 16, Musikfest Café presented by Yuengling, ArtsQuest Center, SteelStacks, 101 Founders Way, Bethlehem. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. The Amish Outlaws, a cover band from Lancaster, formed in 2002. The band includes three ex-Amish and three “honorary Amish” musicians.
