Macungie Holiday starting 9 a.m. Scheduled events include a scavenger hunt, a Santa parade, a craft show at Macungie Memorial Park, a gingerbread display at Kalmbach Memorial Park, 200 Cotton St., free performances of excerpts from The Nutcracker ballet at Eyer Middle School, 5616 Buckeye Road, and more.

Children can join Santa in event room 201, 1 p.m. at Quakertown Farmers Market, 201 Station Road, Quakertown. Santa will read “Twas the Night Before Christmas” and children can enjoy sugar cookies baked by Mrs. Claus.

Faith Presbyterian Church, 3002 N. Second St., Emmaus, is offering free luminary kits to residents to help light up the community on Christmas Eve. These disposable luminary kits, consisting of a paper bag, sand and candle may be picked up at the front entrance to the church anytime between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. while supplies last. There is a limit of 10 per residence. In case of inclement weather, kits will be handed out Dec. 20. For questions, call 484-201-0388.
