William E. Malitsch

William E. “Beansie” Malitsch, 92, of Coplay, died Nov. 22, 2021, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg. He was the husband of the late Phyllis P. (Pudleiner) Malitsch.

Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late John Malitsch and Stephanie (Petrasovits) Malitsch-Keller.

He honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict.

He was a plumber at George P. Hudock Plumbing for several years and then continued his career at H.T. Lyons Inc.

He was a member of Plumber’s Union Local 690.

He was an active member of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, Coplay, where he opened envelopes for 40 years. He also attended Men’s Malvern Retreat for 40 years.

He is survived by a son, William M. and his life partner Marsha E. Cullen; a daughter, Mary Alice Matzo and her husband Geno; five grandchildren, Ryan, Holly, Allison, Danielle and Mallory; three great-grandchildren, Corrine, Summer and Fionna; and a brother, Joseph Keller.

He was predeceased by a brother, John L. Malitsch; and two sisters, Helen and Elsie.
