Richard J. Baumann, 85, of Whitehall, died Nov. 19, 2021, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg.

He was a son of the late Francis and Alice (Diehl) Baumann.

He was a Fountain Hill High School graduate.

He was in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Antietam during the Korean conflict.

He was for many years and retired as a cardboard maker for the Riegel Paper Mill, now Georgia-Pacific, Riegelsville,

He was of the Catholic faith.

He is survived by nieces; nephews; great-nieces; great-nephews; a sister-in-law, Lois Baumann; and extended family.

He was predeceased by a sister, Alice Koch; and two brothers, Francis and Thomas Baumann.

Arrangements were made by Gilbert Funeral Home Inc., Whitehall.
