Northampton Area Public Library will have winter reading challenges for adults and teens beginning Dec. 13.

The adult reading challenge will be held through Feb. 12, 2022.

Adults will complete challenges on the winter reading bookmarks and return them to the library to receive fun prizes and be entered into a drawing for assorted gift cards.

The teen winter Bookopoly reading challenge will run through Jan. 31, 2022. Teens will complete a row on the game board to receive small prizes and be entered into a drawing for an Amazon gift card.

Explore the library’s digital programs, including holiday trivia, a Stick Together picture mosaic and the interactive children’s library on the website and Facebook throughout December.

Explore links, videos and activities relating to early literacy.

Registration for winter children’s programs will begin Jan. 4, 2022, and the programs run Feb. 1-March 10, 2022.

Programs include Wonderful Ones for ages 10 months-2 years; toddler storytime for age 2; preschool storytime for ages 3-4; storycraft for grades kindergarten through second grade; and book club, games club and STEAM craft club for grades 3-5.

Registration is required for most programs.

The library will be closed Dec. 23-27 for the Christmas holiday and Dec. 30-Jan. 3, 2022, for the New Year holiday.
