District News: Toys for Tots donations due by Dec. 10 in lobby

Moore Elementary School will once again be serving as a collection point for the annual U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots campaign. This year marks the 36th year the school has been associated with the Toys for Tots program and has served as a collection point.

Each year, thousands of new, unwrapped toys are collected throughout the Lehigh Valley. Items are then wrapped and distributed to those families identified by The Salvation Army and other agencies as being in need of assistance to make the year brighter.

This year has been exceptionally hard on many in the immediate area as hundreds were out of work or had limited income for a significant amount of time. This is the chance for students to help those right here close to home!

Collection dates began Nov. 16 and continue through Dec. 10. Donation items may be brought to school by your child and placed in the donation bins in the school lobby.

Thank you in advance for your donation and for helping to make the season a little bit brighter for another child.

Lehigh Elementary School’s PTA Giving Tree program is underway. Teachers and staff are asking for help in spreading some holiday cheer so every Lehigh Elementary student can celebrate the holidays with joy.

The program supports Lehigh Elementary families in need during the holiday season. You can help by purchasing a $10 Walmart or Target gift card. Students can bring gift cards to the office by Dec. 17. Then, your child will get an ornament to hang on the Giving Tree in the school lobby.

All gift cards will be given to Lehigh families. Help them reach their goal of covering the tree with ornaments!

Thank you for your generosity.
