STUDENT PROFILE -Taylor Adams, Bethlehem Catholic HS
Grade: 12
Family: My family members are Greg Adams, Robin Adams, Brooke Adams, Connor Adams.
Favorite subject: I enjoy government classes because I like the discussions and arguments that are brought about by other students and their opinions.
Activities: I am a four-year starter and captain of the girls’ varsity tennis team. I play varsity lacrosse. I am the president of peer listening, which is an organization that trains individuals to serve as a shoulder to lean on when others are struggling with friends, family, or academics. I am one of the leaders of “The Movement,” which assists in fundraising for pediatric cancer and suicide prevention; there is a 12-hour event that is held overnight to raise money. I am treasurer of the National Honor Society. I am a leader for the Encounter Retreat. And I participated in a summer program for Cops ‘n’ Kids which involved reading and constructing a craft with small children.
Next Steps: I plan to attend a college that I can play competitive tennis for and wish to share my talents with a new school community.
Career goals: I want to pursue government and law as my future endeavors.
Heroes: Both of my parents are heroes because through every obstacle or challenge that has been thrown at either one of them, they were able to teach my siblings and me valuable lessons on life.
Hobbies: Besides playing tennis with my dad whenever we can, I enjoy reading outside and taking walks with my dogs, as they are both calming remedies after tough days.
Volunteer and community work: I help keep the book for CYO basketball games and run a snack stand for flag football games.
Likes: I love spending time with family and friends and I love everything that has to do with fall.
Dislikes: I dislike gossiping and bullying.
Greatest accomplishment (so far): My tennis team won districts my freshman year and we are in the postseason this year hoping to collect some more silverware.
Advice for peers: Live in the present.
