Southside hosts annual Tree Trail

The Southside Arts District kicked off the holiday season Nov. 27 by bringing back the Christmas Tree Trail that started last year during the pandemic. The trail consists of over 20 merchants of the Southside Arts District that have decorated Christmas tress at their establishments. Patrons can vote for their favorite Christmas tree for the chance to win a $100 gift card to the merchant winner.

The winner will be announced Dec. 18 via Southside Arts District Facebook page.

The main attraction of the evening was a group of students from the Touchstone Theatre/Moravian University MFA who performed “A Christmassy Christmas in the Christmas City” for an excited audience that watched in the cold. To warm up the crowd, complimentary hot chocolate and cookies were provided courtesy of Roasted Bethlehem.

The performance was followed by the lighting of the Christmas tree on New Street. Various musical guest performed throughout the evening.
