Faye “Mammy” LaRue Hartzell, 90, died Nov. 29, 2021, at ProMedica, Cedar Crest. She was the wife of the late John E. R. Hartzell, who died in 1996. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Adam U. Sr. and Emma S. (Lorish) Schmoyer.

She worked for the Emmaus Manufacturing Company and REMS, Macungie.

She is survived by children, John L. (Cynthia), Margie K. Wenner (Keith), Gail M. Pondelek (Chuck); nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; sisters, Betty Christman, Eileen Dise and Mae Eisenhard. She was predeceased by sisters, Elizabeth Engleman, Grace Helfrich, Linda Traumbauer; brothers, Llewellyn, Aaron, Adam Jr., Franklin and Arthur Schmoyer.
