Edward D. Voorhees, 78, of Bethlehem, died unexpectedly Nov. 23, 2021. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he was a son of the late Henry and Mary (Skrobak) Voorhees. He was the husband of Shirley A. Voorhees for 54 years.
He was a Bethlehem HS graduate, where he played baseball.
He was in the U.S. Army from 1961-64, and earned the rank of specialist.
He worked in the beam yards at Bethlehem Steel Corporation, from which he retired after over 35 years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Mark W. and his wife Karen; a daughter, Tracy L. Hetrich; and four grandchildren, Hannah, Nicholas, Justin and Brittany.
He was predeceased by three siblings, Robert Voorhees, Jean Kulp and Celesta Yerger.
