Earnest P. Ackerman, 84, of Emmaus, died Dec. 1, 2021, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. He was the companion of Judith A. Diefenderfer for 43 years. Born in Oley, he was the son of the late Ervin and Catherine (Gehris) Ackerman. He was a Marine Corps veteran and had worked for Shelly Truss for many years.

He is survived by his companion; daughters, Wendy, Wanda and Renee; a brother, Donald; three grandchildren.

Services are private. Arrangements were made by the Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, Emmaus.
