Roberta S. (Sheppard) Sabotta, 91, of Allentown, died peacefully Nov. 23, 2021, in Luther Crest nursing facility.

She was the wife of the late Charles F. Sabotta.

Born March 29, 1930, in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Daniel M. and Alice M. (Burt) Sheppard.

A graduate of Collingdale High School and subsequently The Taylor School in Philadelphia, where she was certified in stenography.

She was a secretary for the Civil Air Patrol, Washington, D.C., before retiring to have and raise a family.

She was a former member of Asbury Methodist Church, South Whitehall.

Her survivors include children Steven C. Sabotta (Makie) of Japan, Kenneth T. Sabotta (Patricia) of Orefield, Susan R. Baur (Bruce) of North Port, Fla., Christian E. Sabotta (Renee) of Washington, Ill.; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sisters Anita M. Angeny (Grant) of Ocean View, Del., Alice M. Straub of Murraysville.

She was predeceased by a grandson Jeffrey M. Sabotta; sister Grace K. Steele; and brothers Daniel, Herbert and Thomas Sheppard.

Her memorial service will be 10 a.m. on Dec. 18 at First Presbyterian Church of Allentown, 3231 W. Tilghman St., Allentown.

The Rev. Stephen T. Emick will officiate.

Family and friends may pay their respects 9-10 a.m. Saturday in the church. Interment will be private.
