Suzanne G. “Sue” Yost, 79, of Alburtis, died Nov. 7, 2021, in the Lutheran Home at Topton Nursing Care Center. She was the wife of Joseph Yost. They celebrated 61 years of marriage in August. Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late John F. and Ethel E. (Kramer) Wagner.
She was a 1960 graduate of Dieruff High School.
She was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, Orefield, where she served as a Eucharistic minister.
She owned and operated three businesses during her lifetime. In addition to volunteering at a food pantry, she served as the president of the former Angel Shop.
Her true passion was her grandchildren who called her Nana. She will be remembered as a funny, spunky, independent, strong, protective, creative, humble, ambitious, generous and loving person.
She is survived by her husband; sons, Michael J. and his wife, Melissa, of Saylorsburg, Anthony J. and his fiancée, Barbie, of Mertztown; daughters, Christine S. D’Andrea, of Alburtis, Kathleen M. and her husband, John Levkulic, of Alburtis; brothers, John P. and his wife, Ruth, of Allentown, James P. and his wife, Joanne, of Schnecksville; a sister, Jacqueline L. and her husband, Thomas Bortz, of Allentown; 10 grandchildren; three step-granddaughters; eight great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, Douglas and sister, Kathleen.
