George E. Stringer, 85, of Lower Macungie Township, died Nov. 24, 2021, in Complete Care at Lehigh. He was the husband of Patricia L. (White) Stringer. They celebrated their 38th wedding anniversary in September. Born in Weymouth, Mass., he was a son of the late Charles F. and Marion E. (Philbrick) Stringer.
He was a veteran with the U.S. Army.
He was a manager for IBM Corp. for more than 32 years, retiring in 1993. After retiring, he became an enrolled agent with the Internal Revenue Service and enjoyed preparing taxes.
He was a member of St. Anne’s Episcopal Church, Trexlertown.
He enjoyed working on computers, reading, music, exercising and teaching (especially tax classes).
He is survived by his wife; a son, Jeffrey (Stacey); daughters, Debi Burkholder (John) and Laura Grafe (Chris); grandchildren, Shannon and Tyler Burkholder, Eric and Nikolas Grafe, Nicole and Julia Stribula, Zachary; a brother, Stephen. He was predeceased by a brother, Richard.
