Dec. 3
Friends of the Emmaus Public Library will host its annual holiday book sale 6 to 8 p.m. Refreshments will be available. Purchases are cash or check only. Masks are required.
Holiday tree lighting ceremony 6-7 p.m. at Lower Macungie Township Fire Station, 6229 Sauerkraut Lane, Macungie. Elsa, Anna and Olaf will be greeting families and one lucky resident will get to “flip the switch” and light the tree. Enter when you arrive.
Dec. 4
Old Fashioned Christmas in Emmaus. The event will include live reindeer, kids activities (4-7 p.m.), Cheers Trail (noon to 5 p.m.), visits with Olaf, Anna and Elsa, hayrides, musical performances, a mistletoe kissing booth and photos with Santa. Bethel Bible Fellowship Church, 418 Elm St., Emmaus, will hold its annual Christmas community dinner 4 p.m. The free event will include dinner, entertainment and door prizes. For more information, call 610-965-2682.

Dec. 5
Alburtis Holiday Festival 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Event includes breakfast with Santa and a kids’ craft corner, cookie baking contest, build your own snowman sundae, visits and photos with Santa, a performance by the Lower Macungie Middle School Chorus and a tree lighting 5 p.m. Horse-drawn surrey rides will be available 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. leaving from Alburtis Borough Hall. The Quarantettes Plus One will provide music noon at the Emmaus Historical Society, 218 Main St., Emmaus.
Dec. 11
Macungie Holiday starting 9 a.m. Scheduled events include a scavenger hunt, a Santa parade, a craft show at Macungie Memorial Park, a gingerbread display at Kalmbach Memorial Park, 200 Cotton St., free performances of excerpts from The Nutcracker ballet at Eyer Middle School, 5616 Buckeye Road, and more.
Children can join Santa in event room 201, 1 p.m. at Quakertown Farmers Market, 201 Station Road, Quakertown. Santa will read “Twas the Night Before Christmas” and children can enjoy sugar cookies baked by Mrs. Clauss.
