Gas House Dance Hall, 311 Front St., is hosting a fundraiser for SOAR, a nonprofit animal rescue, noon-5 p.m. Dec. 5. There is a cover charge.

The event is BYOB, but Taylor House Brewing Company will be there. The Slide On By food truck will be on site as well.

Entertainment will be provided by The Boondock Barons and Social Call Duo. There will be raffles, prizes and more.

Catasauqua Borough will hold its tree-lighting ceremony 5:30-7:30 p.m. Dec. 5 at Catasauqua Park and Playground, 501 American St. There will be crafts, local choirs singing, a basket raffle, concession stand and a meet-and-greet with Santa and Mrs. Claus.

All proceeds benefit Friends of Catasauqua Parks.

Orders are due by Dec. 7 for the ongoing Catasauqua High School band and chorus hoagie and sandwich monthly fundraiser. Delivery is expected Dec. 14.
