William “Beansie” E. Malitsch, 92, of Coplay, died on Nov. 22, 2021, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg. He was the husband of the late Phyllis P. (Pudleiner).
Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late John Malitsch and Stephanie (Petrasovits) Malitsch-Keller.
He was in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.
He was plumber at George P. Hudock Plumbing for several years and then at H.T. Lyons Inc. He was a member of the Plumber’s Union Local 690.
He was a member of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, where he opened envelopes for 40 years. He attended Men’s Malvern Retreat yearly for 40 years.
He is survived by a son, William M. and his life partner Marsha E. Cullen; a daughter, Mary Alice Matzo and her husband Geno; five grandchildren, Ryan, Holly, Allison, Danielle and Mallory; three great-grandchildren, Corrine, Summer, and Fionna; and a brother, Joseph Keller.
He was predeceased by a brother, John L. Malitsch; and two sisters, Helen and Elsie.
There will be a calling hour from 9:30-10:30 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m., both on Nov. 29 in St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, 4 S. Fifth St., Coplay.
