Julia Brennan from the Bethlehem Area Public Library gave a train-centered storytime at the Lehigh & Keystone Valley Model Railroad Museum on Linden Street Oct. 16.
Participants were given paper trains to hold. Brennan had some competition when a model train passed by, but she took it in stride, admiring the trains along with the children.
After the stories were read, the children named their paper trains, and wrote the names with help from Brennan or their parents. The museum offered a discounted admission for the event, and once the storytime concluded, the children were free to explore the train displays.
The Lehigh & Keystone Valley Model Railroad Museum is open on the third Sunday of each month, with extended hours in November and December. Visit its website at https://lkvmodelrailroad.com.
