Grade: 12
Family members: My family has five people, my father, my mother, my older and younger brother, and myself.
Favorite subject(s): My favorite subject is anatomy and physiology. I really enjoyed studying all the different parts of the human body, as well as how all of them interact with each other. I also enjoyed the many disections that we completed in class, which really connected my book knowledge to my hands-on learning.
Activities: In school I am a part of the Wind Ensemble, Orchestra and multiple jazz groups, which play in multiple concerts as well as at events such as Music In The Parks in Hershey.
Next steps: After high school I hope to attend Boston University for Chinese Language and Literature with a pre-med track. I then hope to go to medical school and eventually become a trauma surgeon.
Career goals: No matter what career I end up in, I want to do something that helps others, either directly or through advocacy.
Heroes: I would say one of my idols is Elon Musk for his business savvy, intellect and advancements in our transition from fossil fuels to more sustainable energy.
Hobbies: In my free time I enjoy playing alto saxophone, trading stocks and crypto currency, and playing tabletop games such as Chess and Magic The Gathering.
Volunteer/community work: I currently volunteer with Washington Emergency Medical Squad in Washington, NJ. I try to volunteer about 18 hours a week riding on the ambulance, treating patients, and furthering my skills in the EMS field.
Likes: Dogs, nature, snowboarding
Dislikes: Kale
Greatest accomplishment (so far): I would say my greatest accomplishment has been my academic achievements and High Honor Roll throughout high school, which is something I work hard for to maintain
Advice for peers: Don’t let others try to hold you down on your aspirations.
