Scott Gilds, 63, of Bethlehem Twp., died Nov. 21, 2021, at home. He was diagnosed with liver cancer in March, 2020, and fought through over a year of treatment. Born in Easton, he was a son of the late Donald and Ruth (English) Gilds. He was the husband of Lorianne “Lori” (Lindemuth) Williams for 25 years.

He was a 1975 graduate of Freedom HS.

He was a carpenter and ran his own construction business for many years. He most recently retired from Redner’s Warehouse in December 2019.

Before his passing, he gave permission to break anonymity regarding his recovery from drug and alcohol addiction. He had over thirty years of sobriety at the time of his death.

A musician, he played guitar and harmonica.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Jennifer McGeehan and her husband Timothy; a son, Justin Williams and his wife Kasey; three grandchildren, Lillee and Claire McGeehan and Chase Williams; and two sisters, Dianne Powell and her husband Jay and Donna Brown and her husband Greg.
