For its 36th year, Moore Elementary School will once again be serving as a collection point for the annual U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots campaign.

Each year, thousands of new, unwrapped toys are collected throughout the Lehigh Valley. Items are then wrapped and distributed to those families identified by The Salvation Army and other agencies as being in need of assistance to make the year brighter. This is a chance for students to help those close to home.

Collection dates run through Dec. 10. Items can be brought to school by your child and placed in the donation bins in the lobby at Moore Elementary.

Pennsylvania Classical Ballet Academy, located in Northampton and which has several NASD students in its program, is presenting “The Nutcracker” 7 p.m. Dec. 11 and 2 p.m. Dec. 12 at the Roxy Theatre, 2004 Main St., Northampton.

Lehigh Elementary School’s Sunday night storytime has been a success. Tune in 7 p.m. on the school’s Facebook page for a staff member reading his or her favorite book.
