Coplay Public Library will be closed Nov. 25 for the Thanksgiving holiday. Normal hours will resume 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Nov. 26.

The library is hosting a 50/50 Christmas raffle. Ticket sales will start Nov. 26.

Proceeds help benefit the library.

The drawing will be held 4 p.m. Dec. 23.

The library is asking the community for its continued support on Giving Day, Nov. 30. The form of that support is your choice - volunteer time, attend or plan a program or event, bring baked goods, donate an item for a basket raffle, offer smiles or give monetary donations.

The library has been in operation almost 60 years. Help us keep it going!

Early literacy storytime is held 11-11:45 a.m. Thursdays, Dec. 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30. There will a special craft or game as well.

Board game night is set for 5 p.m. Dec. 8. You’re welcome to stop by later if needed.

We have plenty of popular games available, or you can bring your own favorite.

Use the Libby app or the OverDrive website on any of your devices to read e-books, audiobooks and magazines without leaving your house. There are more than 14,000 items available.

Just go to the library’s website and use your library card number and password to access OverDrive in the E-Resources tab or download the Libby app to your device.

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is recommending facial coverings for all individuals indoors. For safety, we are requiring all visitors, including vaccinated individuals and children over 2, to wear masks while in the library.

Hand sanitizer and disposable masks are available, and Plexiglas shields have been installed at the computer stations.

Curbside services are still available.

With the colder weather approaching, it’s time to think about the library’s policies concerning inclement weather. While we will make every effort to be open during the winter months, your safety is our primary concern.

You can check to see if we are open for the day or closing early by keeping an eye on the WFMZ StormCenter. You can also check our Facebook page for weather updates.

The library’s open hours are 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Mondays-Thursdays and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.
