Annual film festival showcases area students

The 17th annual Emmaus Arts Commission Student Film Fest honored the creativity of area students with a film screening and awards ceremony at the Emmaus Theatre, 19 S. Fourth St., Nov. 1. RIGHT: St. Ann School, Emmaus, filmmakers Charlotte Patterson, Holly Binder and Leah Patterson accept best picture honors in the middle school category for their entry “Cousin Craze Mystery.” The film also took top honors for best middle school screenplay.
Arian Smith accepts the best picture award in the high school category for the Bethlehem Area Vocational Technical School entry “Unrelated Murders.” Arian and Augustus Smith also took top honors for the film's screenplay. Other area students earning top honors include Sadie Kennedy, of Emmaus High School, recognized as best director in the high school category for the film “Death Follows” and Tallulah Anderson, also of Emmaus High School, recognized for best cinematography in the high school category, also for the film “Death Follows,” according to the Emmaus Arts Commission website.
