Zebertavage named Arts District manager

The Bethlehem Economic Development Corporation (BEDCO) is pleased to announce the hire of a new manager, Erin Zebertavage, for the Southside Arts District. Organized in 2015, the Southside Arts District is a downtown revitalization program that works to improve the economic conditions for small businesses in Bethlehem’s Southside.

Erin is a lifelong resident of the City of Bethlehem whose interests and talents align with the needs of the Southside Arts District. She has spent her career working with business communities managing programs, talent acquisition, and communications, bringing a comprehensive skill set to the Southside Arts District. A music lover and vice chair of the Levitt Pavilion SteelStacks Board, Erin’s spirit of volunteerism and background in entertainment will be a benefit to the business and arts community of the Southside.

“I’m excited for Erin to start working with our business community to continue the good work of the Southside Arts District,” said Alicia Miller Karner, executive director of BEDCO. “I’m confident the Southside’s commercial revitalization will continue under her strong leadership.”

Erin will begin her full-time employment with BEDCO Nov. 29.

DA staffer named to state post

District Attorney Jim Martin has announced that Heather F. Gallagher, the District Attorney’s Office Chief of Administration and Chief of Appeals, has been named to a prestigious Supreme Court of Pennsylvania committee.

Gallagher was named a member of the court’s Criminal Procedural Rules Committee for a term of seven years beginning Jan. 1, 2022. The appointment was announced by the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania in an Order issued Nov. 9.

The Criminal Procedural Rules Committee is an advisory arm that assists the court in achieving its constitutional mandate to prescribe general rules governing criminal practice and procedure throughout Pennsylvania. The committee also monitors all local criminal rules as required by the Pennsylvania Rules of Criminal Procedure and periodically publishes reports explaining the committee’s proposals for new rules and rule amendments.

Gallagher joined the Lehigh County District Attorney’s office in 2008. She previously served as an Assistant District Attorney in Philadelphia from 2001 to 2008.
