Hodges, Kennedy, Osborne offer joint statement

Monica Hodges, David Kennedy, and Brad Osborne offered the following joint statement Nov. 3 after winning the Nov. 2 election for commissioners in South Whitehall Township.

“We are grateful for the results of yesterday’s election,” the trio wrote. “Voters in South Whitehall of all political parties and personal backgrounds turned out in droves unified by a common principle: change is long overdue in South Whitehall Township.

“Over the past few years, residents have consistently felt underrepresented and ignored by our local government.

“Time and time again, decisions regarding land development, township finances, and transparency have been made with little attention paid to the concerns of the residents.

“But today, we turn the page and begin a new chapter.

“From this point forward, we will lead the effort to not only enact change through policy, but to prioritize citizens’ needs and concerns.

“To the residents of South Whitehall: We are honored by the trust you have placed in us. We pledge to get to work immediately in January, and we will not let you down.”
