Herman J. Williams II, 69, of Slatington, died Nov. 8, 2021, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

He was the loving husband of Carol A. (Ferry) Williams.

Born May 26, 1952, in Northampton, he was a son of the late Herman J. Williams Sr. and Beatrice (Gehris) Williams.

He graduated from the former Slatington High School.

He was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ, Howertown.

He enjoyed working with wood.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons Herman Williams III and wife, Jennifer, Matthew Williams and partner, Ted Steinbrecher; daughter Bonnie Cougle; granddaughter Jennifer Meckes and husband, Russell; grandson Herman Williams IV; six grandchildren; great-grandson John Meckes; eight great-grandchildren; and brothers Darryl and John Williams.

He was predeceased by a daughter, Kelly Smith, in 2011, and a sister, Donna Wilhide.
