North Catasauqua Police Department is hosting its second annual Fill-A-Cop-Car event.
Donations of food items will be given to less fortunate families this holiday season. The police department will deliver meals to families before Thanksgiving.
Food collection will be held 3-5 p.m. Nov. 20 at North Catasauqua William J. Albert Memorial Park, 701 Grove St. Food donations can also be made during business hours until Nov. 20 at borough hall, 1066 Fourth St.
Food items needed include boxes of cereal, oatmeal, stuffing, instant mashed potatoes, saltine or Ritz crackers, pancakes, pasta, Jell-O and pudding, macaroni and cheese, cereal or breakfast bars, peanut butter and jam/jelly, jars of applesauce, turkey seasoning, jars or dried mix turkey gravy, cornbread mix, cranberry sauce, pie crust mix, powdered drink mixes, canned fruit and vegetables, soup and yams. Giant Food Store gift cards are also encouraged.
