EHS names student of the week

Q. In what grade are you currently enrolled?

A. I am in 12th grade at Emmaus High School.

Q. Please provide the first names of your family members: parents, siblings and pets.

A. Alisa (mom), Mark (dad), three dogs Loki, Macy and Appa.

Q. What is your favorite subject? Why?

A. Art. I find it to be very relaxing; also, it’s what I’m going into as a career.

Q. Have you received any special awards or recognition?

A. National Merit Scholarship Commendation, Academic Excellence Award, Excellence in Latin.

Q. Are you involved in any extracurricular activities? How has COVID-19 impacted these activities?

A. The Stinger student newspaper and academic team. The impacts of COVID-19, sans masks, have mostly subsided. Last year everything was online but this year things have returned to normal.

Q. What do you consider your biggest challenge to date?

A. AP Physics.

Q. What is your next goal after high school?

A. Get into art school, do that for four years, get a teaching certificate and become an art teacher or do commissions or both.

Q. Whom do you admire? Why?

A. I admire my teacher and newspaper adviser, Ms. Reaman. She is such a kind, thoughtful person and has made me into the writer, student and person that I am today.

Q. For what would you like to be remembered?

A. Someone who helped people see things differently.

Q. Do you have any advice for your peers?

A. Do what makes you happy, not what makes other people happy.
