Assault with a weapon
Benjamin B. Wenner, 37, of Emmaus, was arrested after he allegedly entered a home in the 7200 block of Kings Highway South, Lower Milford Township and threatened a person with a handgun Sept. 24. According to a media release from Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville, Wenner allegedly entered the residence where he retrieved a handgun. He then allegedly pointed the gun at the head of another person. A struggle ensued and the intended victim took the gun from Wenner. Wenner then allegedly took a vehicle from another person at the residence and fled the area.
DUI
A 27-year-old male, of Breinigsville, was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence after a traffic stop at Church Lane and Acorn Circle, Lower Macungie Township, 8:16 p.m. Sept. 16, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. He was transported to Lehigh County Central Booking Center.
A 62-year-old male, of Wescosville, was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence after family members saw the male leaving his driveway en route to a convenience store 7:05 p.m. Sept. 5, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. Family members stopped the male and took his keys.
Identity theft
A resident of the 2000 block of Riverbend Road, Lower Macungie Township, discovered her personal information was used to make a fraudulent unemployment claim, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported Oct. 8. The claim was denied.
A resident of Bogie Avenue, Lower Macungie Township, discovered his personal information was used to file for unemployment benefits after he received an email notification, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported Aug. 12.
A resident of Brunner Road, Upper Milford Township, discovered a stock trading app was hacked and an unknown person attempted to trade and sell stock through the resident’s account, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The stock transactions were not processed. The incident was reported Aug. 16.
A resident of Sauterne Drive, Lower Macungie Township, learned his personal information was used to open a Pennsylvania unemployment claim after the claim was denied by the resident’s employer, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported Sept. 29.
