‘She Kills Monsters’ opens Nov. 11 at Salisbury High School

Looking for something to do this weekend? Check out the Salisbury High School fall theater dramatic comedy “She Kills Monsters.”

The show will take place in the SHS courtyard 7 p.m. Nov. 11-13 and 6 p.m. Nov. 14. Tickets will be available at the door. Enter SHS at Door 2 located at the auxiliary gym. Dress warmly and bring your own lawn chair or blanket, as the play will be performed outside. The show will last 90 minutes and there is no intermission. The Salisbury Athletic Booster Club is hosting a clothing drive 9 a.m. to noon Nov. 13 at the SHS old gym entrance. The truck will pick up donations between noon and 1 p.m. For more information on what items will and will not be accepted, visit www.clothingdrive.net.

Any SHS student interested in joining the swim team this winter is encouraged to attend an open swim session 5:30-7 p.m. Nov. 16. SHS open swim sessions are held at Cedar Crest College.

The next school board meeting will be held 7:30 p.m. Nov. 17 in the administration building.

Boy Scout Troop 146 and Cub Pack 146 will be collecting food for their annual Scouting for Food event at Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1707 Church Road, Allentown, Nov. 13. If you would like to contribute food, call Pat Yemm at 610-791-0983.

The township yard waste sites continue to be open alternating weekends for your drop off needs. Hours for drop off are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays. The Franko Farm drop-off will be open Nov. 15, 18 and 19, while the Devonshire drop-off will be open Nov. 22 and 27. The Devonshire site will be closed Nov. 25 for Thanksgiving Day.

Please remember the township public works department is gradually making their way around the township collecting leaves. Please pile leaves curbside, free from any sticks so they can easily take them.
