L.V. Active Life announces events
The Lehigh Valley Active Life, 1633 W. Elm St., Allentown, will host the following programs for seniors in November.
·Nov. 13; Alter Ego.
·Nov. 20: KATO.
·Nov. 27: DJ Jerry Deane will host the dance,
All Saturday dances will be 7-10 p.m. in the Trexler Room.
The per person fee for the dance includes light refreshments.
Singles and couples are welcome to attend.
Instructor Trisha Baker will offer a crafts class 9-11 a.m. Nov. 15, 17, 24 and 29.
This class is free to members.
Instructor Suzanne Bauder will offer an art for everyone class for both new and advance students noon-3 p.m. Nov. 17 and 24.
Help is available.
Fees can be paid monthly or per drop-in session.
All skill level quilters are welcome to come and learn how to quilt at the quilting class, as they make hand-sewn quilts 9 a.m. to noon or noon to 3 p.m. Nov. 18.
There is a per session fee.
Learn how to draw pencil art with instructor Judy Peters at her beginners drawing class noon to 3 p.m. Nov. 15 and 29.
This course is an introduction to composition, outline and shading techniques.
Instructor Judy Peters will also offer an acrylic class noon to 3 p.m. Nov. 19.
Learn how to paint beautiful acrylic landscape scenery and subjects with brush techniques on canvas.
Explore color mixing, composition and your individual style of painting.
Instructor Michele Fisher will host a 45-minute, low-impact cardio fitness aerobics class 11:15 a.m. to noon Nov. 15 and 29.
Instructors Grandmaster Pai Shen Li (Brian Kunsman) and Pai Ma Shen (Bob Donnelly) will host a Tai Chi exercise class Wednesdays 11 a.m.-noon and Fridays 10:30-11:30 a.m. Nov. 3-24
Tai Chi exercise is a holistic exercise that helps reduce stress, promotes physical well-being.
Instructor Grandmaster Pai Shen Li (Brian H Kunsman) will offer a beginner Tai Chi class 12:30-1:30 p.m. Nov. 15 and 29.
Instructor Sara Mercer will offer a Fit Circuit class 12:30-1:30 p.m. Nov. 15, 19 and 29.
The class will help participants build endurance and improves balance, increases muscular strength, flexibility and range of motion.
Instructor Rob Comins will host a Mat Pilates class 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Nov. 18.
Mat Pilates is a strengthening and lengthening form of exercise that focuses on the core muscles, but also strengthens the arms and legs.
Registration is needed to attend the beginner drawing or acrylic class.
